I‘m a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Chicago, working with Mina Lee. I completed my Ph.D. at the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington, where I was fortunate to be advised by Jennifer Mankoff and Anind K. Dey. During my Ph.D., I had the opportunity to intern with Apple AIML team. Early in my academic journey, I worked on coding theory and analytic number theory.
I conduct human-centered AI research, where I:
My work combines techniques from human-computer interaction, machine learning, data science, and psychology to deeply understand how people navigate daily life, model human behaviors using multimodal data with attention to their societal impact, and design AI systems that address real-world needs. My ultimate goal is to create systems that are not only technically robust but also genuinely responsive to the diverse needs of individuals—ensuring technology serves as a meaningful and supportive part of everyday life.
